pssper is free to start, with flexible paid options for a richer experience. Choose the plan that fits your needs: stay on the free tier, buy token packs as you go, or unlock everything with a Premium subscription.

Plans Overview

pssper offers three ways to use the service:

Free Plan

What's included:

  • AI Chat: 10 minutes per day (resets daily)
  • Profile Building: Create and refine your profile with AI help (unlimited)
  • Matching: Up to 3 AI-suggested matches per day
  • Messaging: Send and receive messages after matching
  • Scenario Coaching: 1 free scenario included
  • Chat History: View conversations from the last 30 days
  • Ads: Banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads

You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time. After canceling a subscription, you can re-subscribe with no cooldown period.

Token Packs (Pay-As-You-Go)

One-time purchases that add extra chat time on top of your daily free minutes. No subscription required.

Token usage rules:

  • Tokens are used after your free daily 10 minutes are consumed.
  • Tokens from earlier purchases are consumed first (earliest expiry first).
  • Time is deducted only when a conversation ends (you can pause and resume).
  • Purchased tokens are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase.
  • Buy as many packs as you like, whenever you need them.

Premium Subscription

  • Monthly: ₩9,900/month (auto-renews)
  • Annual: ₩99,900/year (₩8,325/month equivalent — 16% savings)

Premium benefits:

  • Ad-Free: All banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads removed
  • Extended Chat: 60 minutes/day (up from 10), with up to 3 extra +20 min extensions per day
  • Unlimited Chat History: View all past conversations (no 30-day limit)
  • Priority Matching: Higher placement in the matching queue
  • Expanded Matching: Unlimited match suggestions (up to 20 per week, vs. 3/day on Free)
  • Custom Filters: Age, distance, and interest-based matching filters
  • Unlimited Scenario Coaching: Access all advanced scenarios (first dates, conflict resolution, confessions, long-distance, and more)
  • Enhanced AI Coaching: Stronger ice-breaking assist during live chats
  • Trust Score Insights: View detailed Trust Score breakdown and get AI improvement tips
  • Premium Badge: Visible on your profile to other users
  • All Post-Match Features: Balance game reports, date plans, growth reports included at no extra charge

Pro Tip

The annual plan saves you 16% compared to paying monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time — the difference is prorated.

Payment Methods

pssper currently supports in-app purchases through mobile app stores, with web payments coming soon.

Apple App Store (iOS)

  • Pay with any method linked to your Apple ID (credit card, carrier billing, etc.)
  • Secured by Apple's payment security protocols
  • All billing and receipts handled by Apple

Google Play Store (Android)

  • Pay with any method linked to your Google account (credit card, carrier billing, etc.)
  • Secured by Google's payment security protocols
  • All billing and receipts handled by Google

Web Payment (Coming Soon)

A web-based payment option via Stripe is planned for a future update. Once available, you'll be able to tap "Pay on Web" inside the app to complete your purchase on the pssper website. Supported methods will include credit/debit cards, Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, and more.

Payment Security

  • All transactions are encrypted with TLS 1.3.
  • pssper never stores your credit card information directly.
  • Payment processors are PCI DSS certified.

Auto-Renewal

Renewal Schedule

Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month (or year for annual plans).

Example: If you subscribe on February 15, you'll be charged on the 15th of each subsequent month.

Renewal Notification

  • A push notification is sent 3 days before your renewal date.
  • You can review your subscription status at any time under Subscription Management in the app.

Renewal Failure

  • If your payment method fails, you'll receive an email asking you to update your payment details.
  • The system retries payment for up to 7 days.
  • If payment still fails after 7 days, your subscription is automatically canceled and you revert to the Free plan.

Price Changes

  • Price increases: You'll be notified 30 days in advance via in-app notification, email, and push notification. The new price applies from your next renewal after the change. You can cancel before then.
  • Price decreases: Automatically applied on your next renewal date. No retroactive refunds for previous higher-priced payments.

Subscription Management

How you cancel depends on where you originally subscribed.

Cancel on iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select pssper.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.
  5. Optionally select a cancellation reason and confirm.

Cancel on Android (Google Play Store)

  1. Open the Google Play app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions.
  3. Select pssper.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription.
  5. Select a reason and tap Continue.

Cancel Web Subscription (Coming Soon)

Once web payments are available, you'll be able to cancel from the app: go to Profile > Settings > Subscription Management > Cancel Subscription. A confirmation email will be sent from [email protected].

Pro Tip

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your device's subscription settings as described above.

After Cancellation

  • You keep Premium benefits until the end of your current billing period.
  • After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.
  • Example: Cancel on Feb 15 → Premium until Feb 28 → Free from Mar 1.

Re-subscribe

You can re-subscribe at any time with no cooldown. Premium benefits are restored immediately upon re-subscribing.

Refunds

Refund procedures depend on how you paid. Please check the section that applies to you.

Apple App Store

  • Refund window: Within 14 days of purchase.
  • How to request: App Store → Subscription history → Report a Problem → Request a Refund.
  • Decision: Apple reviews and decides all refund requests. pssper cannot approve or deny App Store refunds.
  • Notification: Apple sends the result via email.

Google Play Store

  • Automatic refund: Within 48 hours of purchase (processed by Google automatically).
  • After 48 hours: Open Google Play → Account → Order history → Request a refund. These requests are reviewed by pssper.
  • Notification: Google or pssper sends the result via email.

Web Payment (Coming Soon)

Once web payments are available:

  • Full refund: Within 7 days of subscription start, if the service hasn't been used.
  • Partial refund: Prorated based on unused days.
  • How to request: Profile → Settings → Payment History → Request Refund, or email [email protected].
  • Processing time: 3–5 business days for review; 3–7 additional business days for the refund to appear on your card.

Token Pack Refunds

  • Eligible for a refund only within 7 days of purchase and only if you've used less than 5 minutes of the purchased time.
  • If you've used 5 minutes or more, the token pack is non-refundable.
  • To request, email [email protected].

Additional Refund Requests

If you've passed the app store refund deadline, pssper may still consider refunds for:

  • Verified service errors that caused a loss
  • Clear duplicate charges
  • Suspected fraudulent transactions

Send your order number, payment date, and reason to [email protected]. Review takes 5–10 business days.

Non-Refundable Cases

  • Service was used normally before the refund request.
  • All purchased tokens have been consumed.
  • App store refund deadline has passed with no qualifying exception.
  • Reason is personal preference (e.g., "changed my mind," "impulse purchase," "switching to another app").

Advertising Policy

Ads on the Free Plan

  • Banner Ads: Displayed on the main screen and after viewing profiles (~5 seconds).
  • Interstitial Ads: Shown after using certain features (~10 seconds).
  • Video Ads: Rewarded video ads (~15–30 seconds), always optional.

Ad-Free Zones

Ads are never shown during:

  • Emotional Conversations: When you're having a deep or sensitive conversation with your AI friend.
  • User-to-User Chat: No ads during messages with a matched person.
  • Profile Creation: No interruptions while you're building your profile.

Rewarded Ads

  • Watch 1 video ad = +2 minutes of chat time.
  • Maximum 3 times per day (up to +6 minutes total).
  • Watching is always your choice — you can skip at any time.

Premium: Ad-Free

Premium subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free experience. All banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads are removed.

Privacy & Ads

pssper does not serve personalized ads based on your personal data. Only general pssper-related promotions are shown.

Post-Match Feature Pricing

After you match with someone, you get access to special features. Some are free for everyone, while others require a per-use purchase or Premium subscription.

Tax & Receipts

VAT

  • All listed prices include VAT (based on South Korean tax law).
  • Users outside South Korea may be subject to local tax regulations.

Receipts

  • iOS: Receipts are automatically issued through the App Store.
  • Android: Receipts are automatically issued through Google Play.
  • If you need additional documentation, email [email protected].

Payment Records

  • All payment records can be viewed in the app under Subscription Settings → Payment History.
  • Records are retained for 2 years.

Promotions

Available Promotions

  1. New User Discount: 50% off your first month of Premium.
  2. Comeback Offer: Special discount if you re-subscribe within 3 months of canceling.
  3. Seasonal Events: Limited-time discounts during holidays (Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc.).
  4. Token Pack Bonuses: Extra chat minutes on select packs during promotional periods.

How to Use Coupons

  1. Get a coupon: Distributed via email, social media, or in-app push notifications.
  2. Redeem: Go to Settings → Coupons / Promo Code → Enter Code.
  3. Check the expiration date: Each coupon has its own validity period.
  4. No stacking: Only one coupon can be applied per purchase.

Coupon Rules

  • One coupon per transaction: Cannot combine with other discounts.
  • Non-transferable: Coupons cannot be given to another user.
  • Refund adjustment: If you request a refund after using a coupon, the coupon value is deducted from the refund amount.
  • Some coupons have eligibility requirements (e.g., new users only, specific plans only). If conditions aren't met, the coupon cannot be applied.

Promotions are subject to change and will be announced through in-app notifications and email.

Billing Support

Payment Issues

  • Payment failed: Check your payment method, card limits, and issuer authorization, then retry.
  • Duplicate charge: Email [email protected] with your order number.
  • Pending refund: Refunds typically complete within 3–5 business days; additional processing time may apply depending on your card issuer.
  • Payment button not working: Make sure you have the latest version of the app. Try reinstalling if the issue persists.
  • Benefits not applied after payment: Restart the app or log out and back in.
  • Persistent errors: Email [email protected] with your device info and a screenshot of the error.

Changing Your Payment Method

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Payment & Shipping → Manage Payment Methods.
  • Android: Google Play → Settings → Payments → Payment Methods.

Disputes & Appeals

  • For any billing dispute, email [email protected].
  • Please include your order number, payment amount, and a description of the issue.
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days.
